Global SchoolNet Foundation is a terrific site to find online projects or penpals; there are extensive postings on successful projects, listservs to join, discussion boards, cyberfairs, online expeditions, project registries and much more for online classroom projects.
Epals.Com is the best resource for finding an epal project with classrooms throughout the world, connecting 1.6 million students and teachers from 24,826 registered classrooms in 130 countries. Teachers can post profiles of their classroom or search other class profiles to create a telecollaboration. The site has many tips and strategies for successful projects. Instructions are available in English, French, Spanish or German.
KidsCom Keypals ... requires parental signature and according to the site, it allows registered users to search for kids by age, gender and region of the world. Students can do as many searches as they want so they can have many different Key Pals from all around the world
Intercultural Email Classroom Connections includes a mailing list that you can subscribe to plus, according to the website, "IECC (Intercultural E-Mail Classroom Connections) is a free service to help teachers link with partners in other countries and cultures for e-mail classroom pen-pal and project exchanges. Since its creation in 1992, IECC has distributed over 28,000 requests for e-mail partnerships. At last count, more than 7650 teachers in 82 countries were participating in one or more of the IECC lists."
