Building Blocks from The Original Teaching Company

We started our company in 1982 and created these four "building blocks." Twenty years later in 2002, we moved a few "country blocks" from Massachusetts to New York City. We brought our blocks with us ;-)

Follow the lead of the above schools and bring Summercore to your school; remember that the most important technology building block in our schools is humanware!

One Day Workshops, One Day Consulting, Tech Audits and Tech Assessments
We have conducted our “starter workshop on hardware, software and humanware” at over 70 independent schools over the last 20 years. We also offer customized workshops on a variety of computer topics -- from “plagiarism on the web” for faculty to “safety issues” for parents. Read more at www.summercore33.com/workshops

In business since 1982, we have offered a variety of computer consulting relationships for numerous schools throughout the country. We have expertise in numerous areas, but most importantly, we can help your school with its vision, its mission, and the steps needed towards implementing a coherent computer philosophy. Our sessions with key administrators and trustees have proven useful in implementing the big three of hardware, software, humanware. View our assessment form at www.summercore33.com/buttons/cio

Summercore
Started in 1985, this 5 day workshop can be conducted at your school. We also offer several “open to everyone sessions” hosted at Horace Mann in New York City and Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg FL. Over 2500 teachers from several hundred schools have attended Summercore. This program is designed for the computer novice, intermediate users of technology, computer teachers, and administrators. Our unique approach builds on the diversity of the participants! Read more at www.summercore.com

SummerAdminCore
This workshop is two days in August generally and designated for the key two people at your school: head of school and head of technology. Click here for more details.

SummerPioneerCore
This program allows a school to have Summercore for a group of pioneers during the school year. We meet with your CORE teachers once every two weeks for 2-3 hours each time. Click here for more info.
